LACBC's E-Bike Fleet In Action

Earlier this month we had a trial run at what we hope to be one of many bike fleet rentals! We aided Public Health Advocates in their goal of conducting the City of San Fernando Safe and Active Streets Plan Bicycle Audit. Their group had the opportunity to take on several ebikes, courtesy of our partners at Himiway.

We loved helping community leaders and others see the neighborhood they live in from a bike.

These sights are documented in Curbed Los Angeles’ piece, “Mapping Los Angeles’ groundbreaking role in LGBT history.” This ride by no means captures the breadth of history or expanse of geography that LA has in terms of LGBTQ+ history and culture.

Countywide
LA is less bike friendly than NYC and San Francisco

Our very own Kevin Shin is quoted, saying, “In order to reach certain parts of LA, you have to go through all these other cities, and for LA County as a whole, there doesn’t seem to be the kind of collaboration or the kind of clear planning that is needed.”
