We are always working towards creating better and safer streets for everyone. Let's also take the time to celebrate progress and fellowship with one another!

Upcoming Events & Activities

LACBC and Board Members, Michael Fishman and Cynthia Rose, are hosting a gathering to share how we are making LA County a healthy, safe, and fun region to ride a bike and how you can join our efforts to transform our transportation infrastructure from the burden that we all suffer to a benefit that we all share.

We’ll have speakers, light refreshments, and an opportunity to sign the Healthy Streets LA petition. This ballot measure will create over 1,500 miles of safer, greener, and more equitable streets in LA. PLUS, learn how to win a trip to Lake Tahoe, an e-bike, and fitness passes.

Adams Blvd Safety Project

WHAT

The City of Los Angeles has improved Adams Blvd with traffic safety and accessibility elements. The chances include pavement repair, signal upgrades, bike lanes, lane reduction, pedestrian beacons, pedestrian refuge islands, and other safety treatments.

WHY
The safety project was selected because of the high number of crashes that have killed or severely injured people. Between 2009 and 2019, 59 severe and fatal collisions occurred onAdams Blvd between Crenshaw Blvd and Fairfax Ave. These collisions caused 10 deaths
(including 6 pedestrians) and 59 severe injuries. This is one of the highest rates of traffic fatalities and severe injuries in the City of los Angeles.

Social Justice Partners Fast Pitch

There's still time to get your tickets to catch our Executive Director's presentation for Sunset4All! Set for March 30, you'll get to hear from several worthy organizations as they pitch investors on initiatives aimed at bettering LA.

Eli’s pitch speaks to the reality that Angelenos can only have peace on the street—and more livable communities—when everyone in Los Angeles has an equitable piece of the street. Learn about LACBC’s theory of change as he presents our vision to improve the quality of life for everyone in LA by advocating for a safe, equitable, and joyous region to cycle.

Biking on Rocks is a Whole New Trip

"I honestly enjoyed taking a deep breath and accepting the fact that I might fall and being ok with that. I’m grateful I didn’t fall, but I really think surrendering to the dirt helped me relax and handle those rocks, especially going downhill. I kept telling myself, 'Si me caigo, me caigo' (If I fall, I fall)."

Follow Brenda as she recalls her latest journey taking on her first gravel ride via Ruta del Jefe, an off-road challenge in the middle of the Sonoran Desert.
